Opening Friday, March 6 at 6pm we are delighted to have visual artisit Emma Stroude as the guest speaker who will open our latest exhibition by textile artist, France Crowe.
Frances Crowe studied Fine Art in The National College of Art and Design Dublin, where she discovered the weaving department and fell in love with Tapestry. She moved to Roscommon in 1980 and opened Grange Studio.
In her current exhibition,Threading Land, sounds, sights, smells & textures are woven together to create a body of work which is rooted in heritage, transferred through hand & loom. The textile panels draw from the visual language of Rathcroghen, Connacht’s Royal site, County Roscommon. The panels carry memory, movement & quiet strength. Bold rhythmic movement, grounded in tones of rust, copper, green & brown come together as Contemporary wall art.
Threading Land opens Friday, March 6th and runs until April 6th, 2026.
Gallery 1 (Adelaide St.) open 24/7 for street viewing with open access by appointment.
Gallery 2 (Image Framers shop) open Monday - Friday, 10am - 5pm.
